Restaurant Week

Hey everyone!

With the stresses of the semester starting to build up and the first few weeks of adjusting to our new classes under our belt, a few friends and I decided to participate in this awesome dining program in Charlotte called Restaurant Week!

The way restaurant week works, also known as the Queen’s Feast, is that 100 of the best restaurants in Charlotte offer a three-course meal for only $30! I’m talking about the best of the best here (Ruth Chris included!) offering some of the finest dishes I’ve ever heard of. Well, on a rainy Monday night, Bethany, Kailey, Anna and I decided to skip out on our usual Crown Commons dinner and made a reservation at Mimosa Grill in downtown Charlotte.

Here’s a picture of us at the restaurant! Pretty fancy right?

This is a restaurant I wouldn’t have ever dreamed of going to casually. I think its safe to say that most of the entrées were a bit out of my price range as a college student. As we entered the restaurant they literally treated us like royalty, definitely making it one of the greatest dinning experiences of my life. Even the dinner biscuits were delicious, and the honey butter they gave to put on them was made right at the restaurant! Here are some pictures of my delicious meal.

It's moments like these with great friends that I realize how wonderful living in Charlotte really is. Coming from the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, I was a bit scared on how I’d adjust, but Charlotte honestly has so many amazing things to offer. I mean, who would have thought I could eat at one of the fanciest restaurants in Charlotte for only $30?! I sure would have never thought it possible.

I can't wait for all the other adventures that this semester has to offer, I feel like everyday teaches me something new about this unique city. Today it actually snowed for the first time this winter! Even though I’ve seen snow before, I can’t describe to you the excitement I felt of actually seeing it fall. I can't believe I’ve been deprived of this my whole life! Yes, I am a Floridian, what can I say?

Well I hope you enjoyed reading and had a fabulous day!

Love,

Chloé
